Clothes:

(since you will see me in this coat all winter, I'm not going to list it again.)
Dress- Urban Outfitters
Tights- QVC
Boots- Rocket Dog

I am soooooo happy! I've been looking for this dress for a year and finally found it tucked away in a cabinet. It is so adorable I am dying. No, seriously, call 911. I'm DYING from the cuteness of it. And plus, it pairs perfectly with my tights. I don't normally list my tights but I had to rave about these. They're from QVC (duhhh) and they are SO SOFT. The inside is soft, cushiony fleece. I love it so much.

Clothes:

Jacket- Justice
Dress- Forever 21 (thrift store)
Tights- Missoni for Target
Shoes- Reaction by Kenneth Cole

I spent most of the day yesterday inside but at five I took a walk and had dinner at Elephant Castle. After dinner, I indulged in a gigantic ice cream sundae. Mmmmm… Speaking of indulgence, I actually usually have a lot of restraint when it comes to not wearing things the day after I purchased them but these tights were just begging to be worn so I indulged. *Adopts baby voice* WOOK ADDA WIDDLE ZIG ZAAAGS… AWWWW! (BTW, happy 50th post! Go out and celebrate by buying yourself a treat with a minimum of 500 calories.)

EEEEEEK! I LOVE HUGE CHAIN STORES! There, I said it. Kmart gets me kooky. Walmart makes me wacky. JCPenney makes me jump for joy and Target is just plain tasteful (hooray for alliteration!) Got the CUHYOOTest tights. Missoni for Target is probably not as trendy as it was when it first started but that means all the more zigzags for meeeeeee! Now before you get all up in mah bidness for wearing sneakers, I was working on fixing up the house again okay? At least I'm not wearing a dress over jeans, snicker snicker. You were so lame a week ago, me from the past.

Today was UN Day at our school. It's when you dress up in your national clothes but since I don't really HAVE a national outfit I wore my national colors. Can you guess where I'm from? (hint: I'm not from France). Even though this look is ridiculous, I love it. Ameeeeerica, Ameeeeerica...

Clothes:

Outfit 1 (aka beautiful sunset outfit):
Shirt- gift
Skirt- American Apparel (thrift store)
Shoes- Van Eli (thrift store)
Outfit 2 (aka hideous office worker with really weird rainbow underwear)
Shirt- Old Navy
Pants- gift
Jacket- Papaya

One of my adoring fans is looking at the computer and thinking "I could really go for some nachos right now". What they are probably also thinking is "why the heck is she wearing two outfits in one day?". Yes the rumors are true. I have finally become so fabulous that I cannot settle for just one outfit a day. I changed after first period. I knew that the day would come- it was the inevitable conclusion to my never ending spiral of clothing combinations.
JUST KIDDING!
My humor has become too complex for the little ones so let me enlighten you. I went swimming. In my clothes. It was part of the water safety unit in my school. My "weird rainbow underwear" in outfit two is a swimsuit. I know what most bloggers would say: put the outfits in chronological order! Yes, I wore the ugly one first but I just hate the thought of you opening the blog and that being the first thing you see.

She's a bird! She's a plane! She plays with color and uses it tastefully in her outfits! Iiiiiiit's DOROTHY! Today was picture day at school, but since I didn't want to pay for the- excuse my language- bad photos that the school takes, I forgot. There's an unspoken rule that K through 4th graders must get dressed up for it. It's also an unspoken rule that middle school students must try to look as much like they don't care as possible. Unfortunately, since I forgot, I ended up looking like I cared. On picture day. Gosh! Heaven forbid! Whatever, as I said, never took a paid picture anyway.

Anybody who has known me for over a week will know three things about me:

1- Chocolate is my most loyal friend.
2- I have five cats which therefore deems me junior cat lady.
and 3- Clinton Kelly is my I-D-O-L.

The third one especially so. However, that doesn't mean I have to listen to him 24/7 and it is my strong belief that we should let leggings be pants. Why not if they have a wonderful fit? These ones do. Uniqlo leggings will forever be my favorites and Clinton Kelly will forever be my hero, even if we may not always agree on things.

Ah, black. What power you have to trick middle aged ladies into thinking they look slimmer. I love black… When used in moderation. In other words, try not to wear it every day. There are other neutrals like white, taupe, and gray. On another note, I'm doing another two picture post because it was EXTREMELY dark today. The second one is so you can see my necklace. Excuse my zombie skin, we had to use flash.

36

Clothes:

Jacket- Justice
"Top"- Dream Out Loud by Selena Gomez for Kmart
Skirt- American Apparel (thrift store)
Boots- Rocket Dog

Two things that I have to say about the components of this outfit:
1) Yes, what I'm wearing as a top is indeed a dress. Sometimes you have to do things like that if you want to make it to 365 outfits.
2) The jacket is from Justice! Yes, Justice is a clothing store for children under the age of 9 but WHATEVER! Aren't you amazed that it still fits?

This outfit was my curviest outfit this week *waves fingers in attempt to demonstrate desired body type*. I think it's good to have at least one outfit per week that reminds people that you are indeed a girl. In a sea of menswear inspired outfits (a trend that I don't get and probably never will) you will most definitely stand out.

Wow, three days straight without a post. That must be a new record. I'm glad that I don't have too many people who check my blog regularly for new posts or I would have A LOT of explaining to do… Anyways, this outfit is what I wore yesterday. I didn't have to say much because my dress did all of the talking for me. What did it say, you ask? It said: PURPLEEEEE! I love purple for many reasons but when put in a universally flattering dress, it gets elevated into a fashionable category beyond grape jelly.

I think it's cool when an outfit makes a statement when you're wearing only the essentials: a top, pants, and shoes. The top almost blends into the pants because the bottom of it is blue. I feel awesome in this.

Clothes:

Dress- H&M
Belt- H&M (came with dress)

Sorry I skipped, this is what I wore two days ago. Yay! Lateness!

Yup, there are two images with this post. The reason for this new phenomenon is that I have SOVS. That stands for StickOut-yVestSyndrome, referring to when your vest is longer than your coat so when your coat is zipped up, you look like you have two handkerchiefs tied to your hips, flapping in the breeze. It's not a serious illness but it haunts my everyday vest-wearing. The only treatment for this is to take off the vest when outdoors. It's going to be hard but if you're a slave to fashion like I am, then you'll understand. Indoors=vest and outdoors=jacket outfit=awesome. I love how cozy I look in this red tee shirt, but the Christmassy feel is balanced out with a sailor-inspired oversized vest. The tights look very wholesome in contrast with the long sleeved tee… Well maybe not wholesome, but more stylish than if I had paired them with a tight mini and a tank top.

Simplicity is key when doing a look like this. You have to be comfortable in your own skin to not look like a hoodie bum when wearing something so simple. However, I'm not a hoodie wearer, at least not if it looks cheap. I don't go for that kind of thing. It's cashmere or nothing! This really is cashmere though: soft, soft and soft, like a big puffy cloud. I'm floating on it right now, drifting awayyyy...

I look cool. If you take a classic shift dress and add cool accessories that=coolness. I love that the dress looks like it's made of denim but really is just cotton. This is probably what I would call a classic winter outfit for me. All season dress+thick tights+chunky boots. That's what you'll see me in for the next 6 months.

Corduroyyys! I love corduroy pants for fall. They feel so fall-y. So in. So chic. I have to make a disclaimer about the photo before I say anything: the pants fit me perfectly. The only place they look bad is this photo, okay? Just making sure you know that my pants fit me impeccably SO THERE. Anyways, continuing about the outfit, I looooove a wide leg pant with a heel. I was wearing a necklace before, but it broke. It'll probably be easy to fix. At least, I hope so.

Before you ask, yes, I'm on the subway. The picture turned out surprisingly well considering the fluorescent lighting and the fact that we're UNDERGROUND. But since this blog isn't called 365 Tips for Taking Pictures on the Subway, I'll spare you by not saying any more about that and moving on to the outfit. This is how to work a floral skirt on the weekend. Going with my all-time favorite recipe for an outfit I took a patterned skirt which I loved, added a gray shirt that would've looked boring if the skirt had been a neutral, added some funky boots to add an edge to the girliness of the skirt, and a simple pendant to draw the eye up so you're not always staring at my bottom half. And that is how ya do it.

This was a really good outfit. Maybe this is my WHOOPIE! outfit instead of yesterday. Then again… Oh well. I guess this week I'm improving at putting things together. Maybe by the end of this year, I'll have a full week of WHOOPIE! outfits. I sure hope so, anyway. Leopard print. Say it. Does it send shivers down your spine? Does it make you tingle with excitement? Some people are so scared of leopard print, so whoever has seen me today probably would've been jealous that I could pull off the dress on it's own. However, that's not the case because I added a vintage style necklace and peoples' "too much going on!" sensor vibrates. I DISAGREE. It's a faded leopard print on a purple dress so adding a fabulous necklace will only enhance the wonderfulness of the outfit. So there. Oh and P.S. I don't know if I told you but I love my boots.
